Reference catalog configuration — operating weight: 13 t | Bucket capacity: 0.53–0.64 m³ | Overall width: 2,490 mm | Maximum digging depth: 5,500 mm

The Hongli HL135 is a medium excavator offered by Tai’an Hongli Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. Its reference catalog lists 13 tonnes operating weight, a 0.53–0.64 m³ bucket-capacity range, 2,490 mm overall width and 5,500 mm maximum digging depth. The reference boom is 4,600 mm long and the arm is 2,500 mm. These figures must be matched to the actual quoted configuration rather than treated as specifications for every boom, bucket or attachment option.

Send your destination country, material, excavation profile, loading position, access and transport constraints, attachments and expected quantity. Ask Hongli to assess the HL135 for your project.

An Extended Boom Is a Different Configuration, Not a Free Addition to the Same Specification

The catalog lists an extended boom and/or arm as an option. That is a reason to discuss a different working requirement, not permission to attach a longer front end and keep every reference figure unchanged.

The supplied reference identifies a 4,600 mm boom and 2,500 mm arm alongside the working-range values. If your order uses another front-end arrangement, request its own working-range drawing, transport dimensions, operating mass and applicable load information. Do not assume the reference 5,500 mm digging depth, 8,305 mm maximum digging radius and transport envelope still describe it.

The same discipline applies to the bucket and coupler. The 0.53–0.64 m³ range does not establish that every bucket in that range has the same mass, width or geometry. Confirm the selected bucket, material conditions, connection and any fitted coupler before judging whether the machine fits the job.

This matters when comparing quotations. A machine with an extended arm and a different bucket cannot be fairly evaluated by copying the reference boom’s digging range and the largest advertised bucket volume into one assumed package. Ask for one consistent specification for the actual proposed build.

For buyers who need a specific setback, discharge point or excavation profile, start with that geometry. Then assess the front-end and attachment combination that can meet it. A longer-reach option is not an independently verified improvement in lifting capacity, digging force or hourly output.

Original concept: a different boom or arm needs its own working-range, transport dimensions, mass and applicable load information. Generic outlines, not to scale; no extended-arm dimensions or performance are implied.

Who Should Consider the HL135?

Assess the HL135 for projects requiring a reference maximum digging depth of about 5.5 m or maximum digging radius of about 8.3 m, where the larger HL200 may add unnecessary machine mass and dimensions. These are independent boundaries, not a position that achieves both at once.

It is also worth assessing when the required work calls for a reference digging envelope beyond the HL65’s listed 3,506 mm maximum depth and 6,044 mm maximum radius. The HL135 lists 5,500 mm maximum depth and 8,305 mm maximum radius. Those are separate boundaries; they do not establish performance at an arbitrary combination of depth and reach.

It is also worth investigating for loading work where the reference 6,180 mm maximum dumping height may be relevant, provided the actual discharge position, receiving vehicle and machine location fit. Give us the required horizontal position as well as the height.

Do not choose it if the confirmed machine width, mass or transport requirements cannot be accommodated. Its 2,490 mm width is a machine dimension, not a statement that a particular route or destination allows transport without further checks.

Do not buy it simply because the bucket-capacity range is larger than a smaller model’s. If access, ground conditions, the excavation profile or the receiving vehicle is the constraint, more bucket volume may not solve the problem. If a smaller machine already meets the task, assess that before accepting the HL135’s space and transport requirements.

For lifting objects, obtain the applicable lifting information and approved equipment for the complete configuration. The supplied catalog’s 100 kN maximum bucket digging-force entry is not a lifting-capacity chart.

HL135 reference dimensions: 7,740 mm overall length and 2,490 mm width. Confirm the complete transport position; do not substitute the separately labeled 4,410 mm entry for overall length.

Use the Complete Transport Envelope

The reference overall length is 7,740 mm. Confirm the complete external envelope in the agreed transport position before requesting a carrier or shipment quotation.

Obtain the actual external dimensions in the agreed transport position, including the bucket, coupler and any separately carried equipment. If components are removed for shipment, request the dimensions and masses of the resulting packing units rather than assuming a reduction from a catalog label.

Height also needs the complete envelope. The reference boom-top height is 2,880 mm and cab-top height is 2,830 mm, so cab height alone does not cover the listed machine. The actual front-end position and fitted equipment must be included in the measurement.

The 13,000 kg operating weight is not a verified loaded transport or shipping gross mass. Establish what it includes, then account for loose attachments and other cargo without counting an included item twice. Trailer gross rating and usable payload are different, and the applicable axle, carrier and route requirements also need review.

No trailer, container, ramp or securing arrangement is approved by these reference dimensions alone. Confirm the final machine and packing plan with the responsible carrier before booking transport.

Check the Bucket Path at the Required Working Position

The 8,305 mm maximum digging radius and 8,180 mm ground-level radius are different catalog measurements. Use the one relevant to the job, together with the actual working-range drawing. Do not combine maximum radius, depth and dumping height into one imagined operating position.

For trench work, specify the wall profile and where the machine can stand. The 5,500 mm maximum digging depth does not state maximum vertical-wall digging depth. A particular setback or obstruction can change whether the required cut is reachable.

For vehicle loading, specify the receiving height, side clearance, discharge point and available machine position. A maximum dumping height higher than the truck side is an initial screening fact, not proof of a useful loading path. Include the selected bucket and coupler in the assessment.

Match Bucket Volume to Material and the Actual Front End

Bucket capacity describes volume. It does not establish payload, bucket fill, lifting capacity or hourly production. Material density, resistance, bucket geometry and the actual working position matter.

The 100 kN maximum bucket digging-force entry describes a digging action. It cannot be converted into an approved suspended load, added to an unstated arm force or used to promise that the largest listed bucket will fill effectively in every material.

Before selecting a bucket, provide the material and finished excavation requirements. Request its mounting dimensions, mass and suitability for the proposed boom and arm. A different coupler or bucket may change the working geometry. Our bucket compatibility checklist explains the interface checks, but a physical fit alone does not establish the complete working suitability.

If a breaker or another powered attachment is needed, confirm the actual auxiliary flow, pressure, return arrangement and control requirements. The hydraulic tank’s 130 L capacity provides none of those circuit ratings.

Specify the Engine and Equipment Package

The catalog identifies Cummins as an engine brand for the HL135. It does not provide enough information to establish the exact engine variant, rated power with speed and definition, emissions evidence or every available order package. Ask for the quoted engine identification, label photographs, applicable destination-market documents and parts information.

Use the engine buying checklist to structure that request. An engine brand name is not independent proof of compliance for a shipped machine, and this page does not assign an emissions stage from the brand alone.

The catalog lists a hydraulic quick coupler, breaker piping, an auxiliary circuit, rubber track pads, extended boom and/or arm, and buckets in various capacities as options. The quotation should state what is included and what needs a separate specification.

Track pads do not establish damage-free travel on every surface. Likewise, the reference 38 kPa ground-pressure entry does not approve operation on a particular ground surface, slab or unsupported edge. Confirm the actual undercarriage, configuration and site conditions before relying on the machine for a ground-sensitive task.

The 247 L fuel tank does not establish daily fuel use, working hours or ownership cost. Those require defined duty and measured consumption; no such performance claim is made here.

HL135 Compared With HL65 and HL200

The HL65 catalog lists 6.6 t operating weight, 2,000 mm width and a 0.23 m³ bucket. The HL135 reference is 6.4 t heavier and 490 mm wider. Its listed working envelope is larger, but those differences do not prove a proportional increase in output or lifting capability. If the HL65 meets the job, the larger machine needs a specific reason to justify its additional mass and dimensions.

The HL200 lists 21.8 t operating weight, 2,780 mm width, a 1.0 m³ bucket and 6,515 mm maximum digging depth. It is 8.8 t heavier and 290 mm wider than the HL135 on the reference values. If the HL135 cannot meet the required geometry or task, assess the actual next configuration rather than choosing a larger model number by default.

The HL135 is therefore worth investigating when its confirmed front end covers the job while a larger reference machine would add unnecessary access or transport demands. Use the size-selection guide for the general method; use the actual model records for the final configuration decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the HL135 a 13.5-tonne excavator?

The supplied catalog lists 13 t operating weight. Confirm the definition and weight of the actual quoted configuration rather than interpreting the model digits as tonnes.

Can I use 4,410 mm as the transport length?

Not on the available information. The catalog separately lists 7,740 mm overall length, while the smaller “Transport Length (Ground)” entry has an unconfirmed definition. Obtain measured external dimensions for the agreed transport position.

Does an extended arm keep the same digging range and transport dimensions?

Do not assume it does. Request the working-range drawing, dimensions, mass and applicable load information for the actual boom, arm and attachment combination.

Does 100 kN mean the machine can lift that equivalent weight?

No. It is the listed maximum bucket digging force, not a lifting-capacity rating. Obtain the applicable lifting chart and approved configuration for any lifting task.

Is the largest 0.64 m³ bucket always the better choice?

No. Confirm the material, cut, attachment mass and working geometry. Bucket volume alone does not establish useful fill, payload or production, and the catalog range is not approval for every combination.

Does 38 kPa mean the HL135 can work on my ground?

The catalog value is a reference, not a site-bearing assessment. The actual machine, undercarriage, ground conditions and working position must be assessed for the intended operation.
